Product Care

WOOD CARE

A number of products containing natural woods are not suitable for dishwashing machines and should be hand-washed in warm, soapy water only.
Take care not to utilize overly-abrasive or industrial detergents or implements such as coarse or metal sponges when cleaning your products, as this can cause unneccessary erosion and scratching of the surface.

They should not be left to soak in water, as this will affect the integrity of the materials. Drying your products directly after washing is preferred for proper care.

Strong sunlight can be harmful for your items if continually exposed. Storage in a cool, dark area is ideal.

The timbers present in a majority of our products can become dry with extensive use, so occasional application of vegetable oil or food-safe wood treatment oil will help to preserve the original natural appearance and further the life of the product.

In time, depending on the amount of handling or use, you should expect the product’s texture to show a level of weathering due to the organic nature of wood.

METAL CARE

Mild cleaning detergents or simply light soap can be applied to the product or a clean, damp cloth, and all surfaces wiped down gently every day or with each use.

Take care not to utilize overly-abrasive or industrial detergents or implements such as coarse or metal sponges when cleaning your products, as this can cause unneccessary erosion and scratching of the surface.

Allow newly cleaned products sufficient time to dry before storage. Excessive moisture can have harmful effects on the materials.

As extended periods of direct sunlight can cause fading or more rapid aging of base materials, ideal storage of your products is best in areas not continually exposed to strong sunlight.
